AutosXchange Intel uses current dealer-advertised asking prices, not completed sales or appraisals. It compares the same trim and condition (new or used) where at least three are listed nationwide, and adjusts the expected price for mileage; it is not adjusted for options, condition or accident history. Similar listings are searched within 50, 100 and 250 miles of the dealer first, then the dealer's state, then nationwide. The left gauge spans ±25% of the expected price.
