- What if I signed a contract before September 30, 2025?
- The IRS says a vehicle acquired on or before September 30, 2025 — shown by a binding written contract and a payment by that date — can still qualify when it is placed in service (delivered) later, if it meets the other requirements.
- Is there still a tax credit for a home EV charger?
- The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (30C) applies only to property placed in service by June 30, 2026, in an eligible census tract (IRS). Some states and utilities offer charger rebates — see utility EV programs by state.
